As a MEPP Member, you are welcome to attend any of the three workshops in the Your Path to Retirement series. It’s easy to register! Please select the “Event Type” menu to choose between virtual and in-person workshops. Find the event you are interested in and complete the online registration form. Registrations close 48 hours prior.

If you are late in your career, this workshop is the one for you. In this webinar, you will focus on the retirement process.

Module 1 – How it all comes together
This module will help you with your budget considerations in retirement and investigate in more detail the various sources of income that you may have. The webinar will include topics such as the Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security and other potential investments.

Module 2 – The money and beyond
This session will provide you with information on tax planning considerations and ask you to reflect on other aspects of your financial picture. Topics will include wills and estates, powers of attorney and other topics to help get your financial house in order.

Module 3 - Build a plan & Prepare to retire

Designed for:  Mid to Late-career members

This workshop is for mid to late-career members and is designed to help you understand in detail how your pension fits into your overall financial wellness. 

You will learn about all aspects of your financial plan with a focus on retirement income options. Topics include:

  • saving and debt management
  • tax planning and estate planning
  • retirement income options

While all of the modules for each webinar are designed as standalone sessions, taking the complete set of modules in chronological order will offer you the most benefit.
